The Royal Gorge bridge is the highest suspension bridge in the world, with the Arkansas river rushing by, 1053 ft below it.

The bridge was built in 1929.

The pictures I took from the bridge do not do the views justice. Look for the suspended cable car and the car on the bridge in a few of the pictures so you can get a size perspective.

The Royal Gorge park has rides, shops, food, and a small zoo.

The views are spectacular and change as the lighting from the sun changes position, color, and intensity.
